Life Story for Edward Benjamin Foraker, Jr.
EDWARD "Eddie" BENJAMIN FORAKER Jr., 46 years old of Delta, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away on Wednesday, April 26'th, 2017. Married on August 21'st, 2006, he was the husband of Rebecca L. (DiBiase) Foraker, with whom he shared over ten years of marriage.
Born on September 25'th, 1970 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of Cruz (Foraker) Warriner and the late Edward Foraker. Known for his great sense of humor, Eddie loved to tell jokes, share stories, and make everyone laugh. He had a deep spiritual faith and expressed his love and thankfulness of Jesus to many. With his passion for cooking he prepared many specialties that he enjoyed sharing.
While in Philadelphia, Eddie played several years of semi-pro football, rocked around with a boom box on his shoulder, and attended some community college. He was always a hard worker. Eddie's dream was to buy a big farm and adopt as many kids as possible. He wanted to provide them the salvation of Jesus, a great education, work ethic, and strong sense of family. He had remarked, "I want them to fall asleep knowing they'll never be kicked out, discarded, or moved around again; that this is home". Eddie also had a deep compassion for animals in need, letting his daughter bring home and help orphaned kittens though he was allergic to cats.
Eddie is survived by two wonderful children, Olivia M. Foraker, 11, and Zachary Foraker, 18, five siblings, David Foraker, Stephen Warriner, Rose Warriner, William Warriner, Nicholas Warriner, his wife's parents, David and Lori DiBiase of Delta, brother-in-law Michael DiBiase and wife, Devon; his daughter's godmother and great friend, Maria Negrete and husband, George; loving nieces and nephews-Dante, Giavanna, Alessandro, Jessica, Samantha, Jamie, Julia and many more along with aunts, uncles, cousins and great friends.
The visitation will be held on Monday, May 8'th, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:30 in Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta followed by a candle lighting service offered by Pastor Beth Holz at 4:30. There will be no additional public interment services. Funeral staff will be assisting with parking and handicap needs.
