Obituary for Joseph 'Joe' W. William Baran

Joseph 'Joe' W. William Baran
Joseph ‘Joe’ William Baran, 76 years of Delta, PA, formerly of Rosedale, MD, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born February 14, 1941 in Baltimore, MD he was a son of the late Louis Stanley Baran, Jr and Bertha (Jurski) Baran. Married for 56 years, September 21, 1960, Joe was the loving husband of Joan (Cumberland) Baran.

Joe served his country in the Air Force Reserves. He held a career as a mortgage assurance representative in commercial finance. Joe and Joan moved to Delta, PA in 2007. In his retirement, Joe worked part time with the Delta Borough as a zoning officer. Joe was a Baltimore Ravens fan; he enjoyed football particularly watching his great grandson play. He liked fishing at his brother-in-law’s in Virginia, playing golf, and cards on Friday nights. Spending time with his family, watching Fox News, and being the last to leave the table during a family crab feast were some of his favorite things to do. Joe will be missed for his honesty; his sense for what is right, and his friendship.
