RICHARD A. BARLOW, age 76 years of Fawn Grove, PA died on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the UPMC Memorial Hospital in York, PA. He was the husband of Mary Ellen (Wilcox) Barlow, and they had shared 56 years of marriage last November 27th. Richard was born in Street, MD on October 12, 1942, the only child of the late Junior Franklin and Flora Bell (Cox) Barlow. A 1960 graduate of North Harford High School, he was employed by Harford County Government for over 35 years and retired as a chief highways inspector in 1996.
Richard then drove school buses in Harford County for Bev Cochran followed by the Dwight D. Eisenhower Farm tour buses in Gettysburg, PA.

Richard never met a stranger. He was known to all to be strong in his Christian faith, always made everyone feel like part of the family, was a devoted husband and son to his aging mother whom he cared for till her death. He was all about his family and frequently expressed how proud he was of each one.

His aunt-Tressie Hutton of Street, MD

Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 13 at 11:00 a.m. at the Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main St., Delta, PA 17314. Pastor Chris Starr of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Brogue, PA will officiate.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, September 12 from 6 to 8 p.m.
