How can you sum up a lifetime of memories that trace all the way back to almost the beginning. I have known Chip that long or should I say Vern, we used to call each other that when we would talk. He is the only one who would call me Vern and why is between us. Will never forget going to his home very often, from riding bikes all over the country to jumping them in his backyard. Then we got into cars and rode all over the country and so many memories in between. Chip got me my first real job away from the farm working for a man named Stan, we spent the summer clearing brush and briars off his property and taking them to the dump, in an old 67 dodge three speed on the tree, no breaks half the time, death trap lol. I will never forget Bob MacElwain, we cleaned parking lots together, we rode around on a three wheeler pulling the dirt out the corners so the machine would get it, we would get ahead of Bob and do tricks on the three wheeler lol. We really enjoyed working for Bob, worked hard, got dirty, nothing a little water would not wash off. Bob I know for a fact that Chip thought very highly of you. I got to work with Chip at Don's automotive for a short time, a lot of great people worked there, Have a lot of good memories from there, we would get together after work and go to York for fun. That is all I am going to say about that time...we went and saw a lot bands starting out live...times I will never forget. I am glad we got to talk in April, we laughed and joked like old times and whenever we would talk it seemed like no time had passed. He even brought up some stuff I forgot about and that I will surely miss. I wish I was a great writer, but I am not, you deserve so much better than I can write. Till we meet again

What can I possibly say about the Chipster that hasnt already been said. Chip was such a awesome brother in law. I loved all his jokes and the funny voices he did when telling a story. He always cracked me up when we would go see Beth at hospital a certain point in our journey at a red light he would tell ROLL UP THE WINDOWS NOW.
I can remember fixing his cheeseburger so he could eat it on the way laying all the French fries on the cheesburger.
We all did some pretty awesome stuff with this man and I'm telling I'm missing him alot. I will always be here Chip to help Beth and Madison the best I can. My heart is so heavy right now. I wish you did not leave us so soon.
Love Kari.

Beth,Madison and family, it has only been about ten years since Don and I were welcomed into the Hash Family. So we still consider us as the "newbee's but the love we are given adds up to a life time. May you know we give that love and support back to all of you. We can remember the very first time we met the three of you, it was at one of the mystery dinner's in Ketchinville. What still sticks in my mind is Chip in his Hawaiian shirt and his HAIR!!! OMG that hair! When the heat would get to him at work he would come and dig in my desk drawer for a rubber band and then give himself a pony tail. Then he would get the rubber band tangled in those curls. So I then started leaving hair ties. He was constantly digging in my desk drawers. We shared my antacid tablets, my hand cream, cough drops and hand sanitizer...God for bid I was out of hand sanitzer!! I literally watched him bend over and open the office door with his shirt covering his hand so he would not touch the door knob. The cutest thing he would borrow were my reading glasses, they looked sooo cute on him because the were PINK with FLOWERS on them, with them and the pony tail only thing missing was that Hawaiian shirt!!! May this dry a tear for a moment and may you know we are always here for you. Love and Hugs, Don & Maryanne

Thank you for such kind words. And for sharing the memories of Chip. He said I was the love of his life. For Madison, I will be strong. The Hash family has lost so many, but I know in my heart he is with family and friends. May he rest in peace..
