Obituary for Eldridge Mix Ward, II

Eldridge Mix Ward, II, 79 years of Delta, PA, passed away on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 surrounded by loved ones. Born December 21, 1938 in New Jersey, he was a son of the late Thomas K. and Ethel (Potts) Ward. Married November 25, 1961, he was the beloved husband of Jane S. (Williams) Ward for 57 years.

A man of God, Eldridge was a member of Reformation Bible Church, Darlington, MD. Serving his country in the United States Army, he belonged to the American Legion Slate Ridge Post #182 of Whiteford, MD. Eldridge had worked as a physical therapist for Frederick Memorial Hospital and then later opened his own practice for 32 years. In the 1990’s he earned his Masters degree in Bible from Antietam Bible College. After retiring in 1995, Eldridge served as an Assistant Chaplain in Fredrick County Jail and chaplain at North Hampton Manor Nursing Home.

Amanda (Ward) Grace of Williston, FL

Two sisters:
Linda Ward of Martinsville, NJ
Joan Hodge of New York City, NY

Six grandchildren:
Madeline Grace Holmes, Aleena Grace Sepp, Jared Alan Grace, Violet Ward, Levi Ward and Lillie Ward

One great-grandchild, Mila Holmes

Interment was held on Friday, December 14, 2018 in Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Frederick, MD

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harford Christian School or Reformation Bible Church, 1736 Whiteford Road, Darlington, MD 21034

For nearly the past two years, caregivers from the Deanie Taylor King Agency: Sandy B., Jeannette, Priscilla, Nina and Anna cared for Eldridge, and the family would like to sincerely thank them for their compassionate care.
