Obituary for Ruth Ann Bennett
Obituary written by her loving family.
Ruth Ann Bennett of Felton, PA died on Sunday, October 14, 2018 in her home under the loving care of family. Born July 26, 1952 in Havre de Grace, MD, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Wesley and Minnie Edna Cochran.
Ruth Ann was a 1970 graduate of Bel Air High School and retired from the Harford County Government. Ruth was raised next to her grandparents’ dairy farm in Fallston, MD. She was a ballerina from the age of 4 through 19.
Ruth Ann had a lifelong love for animals, especially her parrot, Zacari. She enjoyed the great outdoors her entire life with hunting, fishing, biking, hiking and kayaking. Ruth loved tending flower beds and was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was especially proud of both her grandchildren.
Ruth Ann was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and also attended Norrisville United Methodist Church with her companion. Ruth loved to help at both churches.
She is survived by her:
Daughter, Sheila M. Cullum,
Son-in-law, Clarence W. Cullum, Jr.
Granddaughter, Caitlin A. Cullum
Grandson, Ethan B. Cullum
Brothers:
James R. Cochran and Gene P. Cochran, wife Maxine Cochran
Nieces:
Linda Anthony and Sharon Levin
Cheryl Rhodes, Leslie Spencer, Diane Mitchell, Terry Owens, Lori Sowada
and Jody Zulich
Nephews:
David Cochran, Timothy Mitchell, Thomas Mitchell and John Mitchell
Ms. Bennett is also survived by ex-husband, Harold J. Bennett and family.
She is also preceded in death by her brother, Charles L. Cochran and two sisters: Shirley B. Wheat and Mary Lou Mitchell.
A private memorial service will be held.
