Junior L.  Wolf
JUNIOR L. WOLF, 95 of Red Lion, PA died on August 22, 2018 in his home surrounded by loved ones. Born on August 3, 1923 in East Berlin, PA, he was a son of the late John G. Wolf and Elizabeth Mae (Gettys) Wolf. He was the beloved husband of Lucy W. (Stamper) Wolf with whom he had celebrated their 70th anniversary the day before.

Moving to the area at the age of 7, Junior was a member of Delta United Methodist Church for over 60 years and a past president of Slate Ridge Cemetery Association where he served for over 30 years. A “jack of all trades,” he was involved in numerous businesses. Junior sold seed corn for the former Delta Sales Company, a company that he later owned. In 1958 when the first reactor was ordered for the Peach Bottom Nuclear Plant, he served as sergeant of the guard during the construction. In the early 1970s, Junior operated an auctioneering business followed by working as a carpenter in home improvements with Harry McAllister. Starting in 1997, Junior and his wife traveled to Sebring, FL each winter to escape the cold. He and Lucy were very fond of square dancing with the Stewartstown Promenades.

Jennifer Rebert, wife of Chad Rebert of York, PA

His great granddaughter, June Rebert

Junior was preceded in death by his son, John L. Wolf who died in 1974.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA 17314 where the service will held be on Monday at 11 a.m. with his brothers-in-law, Pastor Rodney Stamper and Pastor Robert Stamper co-officiating. Interment will be in Slate Ridge Cemetery, Delta, PA.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions made to Bethany Baptist Church, 4162 Delta Rd, Airville, PA 17302.
