Life Story for Geneva Osborne

OLA GENEVA OSBORNE, 90 years of Street, MD, died on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 in the Senator Bob Hooper House in Forest Hill, MD. She was the loving wife of Earnest Osborne who died in May of 1978.

Born on March 9, 1928 in Whitetop, VA, she was a daughter of the late Gwyn and Mae (Sheets) Price and had moved to Harford County from Marion, VA in 1960. In her younger years, Geneva loved to travel, enjoyed gardening, sewing, quilting and was an exceptional baker. Geneva had worked for the Harford County Board of Education for 15 years prior to her retirement. She was an avid Baltimore Oriole and Ravens fan and had attended Chestnut Grove United Methodist Church in Street, MD.

She is survived by:

Many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren in addition to great-great grandchildren

A half-sister, Darlee Kingern of Missouri

She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Gwyn Osborne in October of 1967, grandson, Wesley Osborne and sister, Marie Belcher.

Services will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street, Delta, PA with a viewing from 11 a.m. to noon followed immediately with the funeral service. Reverend Dr. Harriet McCombs of Chestnut Grove A.M.E. Church will officiate.

Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD.
