Life Story for Sara W. Robinson

Sara W.  Robinson
SARA W. ROBINSON, age 96 years of Glen Arm, MD and formerly of Whiteford, MD died at 12:19 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the Glen Meadows Retirement Community in Glen Arm. She was the wife of Charles H. Robinson who died on January 11, 1996.
She was born in Peach Bottom Township, PA on April 8, 1921 a daughter of the late Elmer C. and Nell (Stewart) Wiley. Sara was a graduate of the former Lower Chanceford High School in Airville, PA and had attended Elizabethtown College. She was a member of the Slateville Presbyterian Church, Delta for over 70 years where she was a former choir member, elder and deacon. Sara was very involved with the Harford County Public Library where she served on the board of directors. She also served on the board of directors of Citizens Care & Rehabilitation Center in Havre de Grace, MD. Her other memberships included the Castle Finn Chapter of the D.A.R. She was declared a Harford County Living Treasure. She devoted a great deal of time to researching the genealogy of her family.

She is survived by four children:
Carole Keister and her husband, Richard of Monkton, MD
Betsy Fleischmann and her husband, Richard of Delta, PA\
Donald Robinson and his wife, Ruth Ann of Delta, PA
David Robinson and his wife, Terri of Whiteford, MD

Five grandchildren: Lauren, Meredith, Rebecca, Matthew and Michele.
Two step grandchildren: Kim and Todd
Four great grandchildren

One sister: Betty Kohlbus of Delta, PA

A memorial service directed by the family will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 11:00 a.m. at the Slateville Presbyterian Church, 308 Slateville Road, Delta, PA 17314. Her pastor, Reverend Kenneth Osborne will officiate.

Interment will be private.

Visitation with the family will be in the church fellowship hall following the service.
