MARY CATHERINE WERNIG, 98 years of Street, MD, died on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Calvert Manor Healthcare Center in Rising Sun, MD. Born on August 19, 1919 in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Kathryn (Sechrist) Wernig. Mary was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Parish and served as a secretary for 30 years with the State Department where she traveled extensively.

She is survived by:
A nephew, William C. Wernig, Jr. of Street, MD

A niece, Mary Kathleen Mulligan of Annapolis, MD

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. in St. Mary Catholic Parish, 1021 St. Mary’s Road, Pylesville, MD with interment in the adjoining church cemetery.

Reverend A. Henry Kunkel, III will be the celebrant.
