Born on March 27, 1943 in York, PA, he was a son of the late Walter D. and Thelma O. (Enfield) Kefauver and a 1961 graduate of North Harford High School in Pylesville, MD. Randy was known to be able to do just about everything. He worked in several jobs requiring many different skills beginning as an electrician’s helper from September 1961 – February 1963 followed by working with Kurtz Fuller Appliance of White Hall, MD where he serviced commercial freezers. In 1970 he was with the Interpace Corp. In February 1972, Randy went to work for the Maryland Army National Guard first as a guided missile mechanic equipment repairman until July of 1974 followed with working at the Armory in Havre de Grace as a heavy motor vehicle equipment mechanic until his retirement in March of 2003.

He had worked for 15 years with Harkins at the time of his passing.

Randy was a member of Slate Ridge Presbyterian Church where he had continued to worship since 1964. In his dedication, he had served as an ordained elder, a longtime member of the choir, on the board of trustees and was the church liaison for the local Boy Scout/Cub Scout Pack. He was an avid Oriole and Raven fan and followed NASCAR enjoying trips to Dover Downs for numerous years.

Randy loved the beach, spending his summers there with his wife, Pat, and his family. He quickly became the person his beach neighbors could always count on for any tool or assistance they may have needed. Family was most important to Randy, and his family commented they were blessed with the most loving and caring husband, father and grandfather as well as brother, cousin and uncle.
