Constance E.  Starn
CONSTANCE E. STARN, 83 years of Airville, PA, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 in her home. Married on March 20, 1953, she was the wife of John A. Starn. Connie’s youngest brother had introduced her to John while he worked at the former Red Lion Cabinet Factory and this casual meeting blossomed into 64 years of marriage.

Born in Melrose, MA on March 19, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Harold Nelson Ewertz and Evelyn Page and a 1952 graduate of Dallastown High School. A homemaker, she had worked at the former Collinsville Discount Center from the late 60’s to the early 70’s. Known to everyone in the community as “The Goat Lady” she was a loving caregiver to many animals. She and John traveled to Lake Molunkus Sporting Camp in Maine beginning in 1971 for 30+ years for deer hunting and fishing trips. In addition, she would go to the (Cabin) in Clinton Co., PA where she hunted for turkey and deer from the early 1970’s. Connie was a member of Pine Grove Presbyterian Church, Airville, PA.

Three children-
Linda Miller of Delta, PA
Sharon Scott and her husband, George of Airville, PA
Wayne Starn and his wife, Bev of Bel Air, MD

Nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jean Yanochko who died in October 1993.

A memorial service reflecting her life will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at noon in Pine Grove Church Social Hall, 4316 Delta Road, Airville, PA with Reverend James B. Shuler officiating. Please wear casual attire.

In lieu of flowers, her family would appreciate memorial contributions to the church at the above address.
