Life Story for Robert John Skalski, Sr.
ROBERT JOHN SKALSKI, SR., 73 of Fawn Grove, PA died in his home on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Andrea M. (Oldewurtel) Skalski, and they had shared nearly 52 years of marriage.
Born on April 21, 1944 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Thaddeus and Anna (Weber) Skalski and had lived in the area since 1977. Mr. Skalski retired in 1976 from the State of Maryland where he had worked as a transport driver. During his lifetime, he had also sold office furniture and equipment, delivered oil, drove a school bus, employed for a time with a funeral home and drove an armored car for Federal Armored Express.
Mr. Skalski attended St. Mary Catholic Parish in Pylesville, MD, enjoyed collecting diecast cars and was fond of antique cars and trucks. He treasured his vacation trips to the Bahamas with his family and loved to scuba drive. Bob was the scoutmaster for Pack 83, Fawn United Methodist Church where he held pine wood derbies, Father and Son Bake Offs and kite flying contests where everyone hand made their kites. He was the first to organize the community Halloween Party at the Fawn Grove Community Hall sponsored by the Pack.

Robert John Skalski, Jr., and his wife, Denise of Fawn Grove, PA
Chris Skalski, Sr., also of Fawn Grove
A brother, Thaddeus Skalski of Dundalk, MD
Two grandchildren-Chris Skalski, Jr. and Kevin Skalski
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Faye Lynn Skalski on March 6, 1970.
