Obituary for Connie Beth Cooper

Connie Beth Cooper, of Fawn Grove, PA passed away peacefully on April 14th, 2017 at her home at the age of 69. Born April 15, 1947, she was a daughter of the late David Robert and Dorothea (Lockhart) Hopewell. Connie was the widow of William L. Cooper, married for 19 years until his death in 2013.

Connie was an active member of Fawn United Methodist Church, and enthusiastically embraced her faith, her family and her community. In her early life, she worked in a variety of administrative positions. In her later life, she worked as a caregiver as well as the treasurer for the Fawn Grove Borough office. Along with her witty sense of humor, she had a very kind heart. She had the ability to address challenges in this life with great resilience and grace. She was an avid dog lover, fond of her King Charles Spaniels, Cooper and Sandy. She will be remembered for her sweet smile, her steadfast faith and her selfless spirit.

She is survived by:

Wendy Foster and her husband Garon, of San Antonio, TX
Scott Scallorn, and his wife Leanne, of York, PA
Erik Scallorn and his partner Christine Himmelright, of Winterstown, PA

Seven grandchildren -
Avery, Riley, Shayla, Gavin, Mason, Ellaine, Mia

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 from 10 – 11 a.m. in Fawn United Methodist Church, 67 South Market St., Fawn Grove, PA, where the memorial service will begin at 11:00 a.m.
